Curb Appeal
First, look at the outside of your house, also called your curb appeal. Take a fresh look at the exterior of your house from a quick glance from the street. What do you notice first? What great characteristics seem to fade into the background?
Understanding this helps us to choose what plan of action we can use to attract buyers from the street and into your home. If your home's exterior isn't up to par with retouched paint and blooming garden plants it's time to get those things done. Follow the Curb Appeal Checklist and increase your home's final selling price.

Welcome Home
Can buyers see themselves hanging out in your living room, reading a good book in your reading nook or getting work done in your home office? We want your home to welcome buyers and offer them a sense of contentment. I'll help you accomplish this by suggesting small improvements that enhance the features of your house.
I'll tell you eliminate things that give the illusion of clutter. Surface areas like tables, desks and counters should be clutter-free. Knickknacks, sentimental items, family photos, and play time artwork should get stored away too. We need to "neutralize" the place so buyers can picture it as their new house.
I'll look over every room of your home. I'll point out the pieces of furniture that should be rearranged, rooms that need a fresh coat of paint, rugs needing to get changed, fixtures that could use brightening, and any other improvement that can easily be made to positively affect the sale.
With me by your side, you'll know that your house is appealing and that it's welcoming, steering clear of "offensive" or "can't-work-with" hues on the walls and furniture. And if none of your belongings are there, you can consider borrowing furnishings. The goal is for your home to look inviting as opposed to empty.

Setting the Stage
I'll tell you when it's time to show your home, because all of the improvements mesh together to paint a picture of what buyers can look forward to when they consider buying your house. To eliminate shadows a mood changer and we'll open curtains, and reduce shadows where needed to invite the buyer inside. We'll enhance the ambiance with enjoyable music playing lightly and assure a delightful aroma circulates from every area. We'll include cozy-looking bedspreads, and throw pillows on your loveseat and bedding. Buyers should feel like your home has the potential to be. |
